What is the easiest way to remove the headlight switch from the dash. I have a 1977 F-250 CS and I tried to remove the **** from both the headlight and windshield washer switch but neither one would budge. Do they just pull off? Do I need to remove the dash trim to get the Headlight Switch out? Thanks in advance...

 

Depress the button highlighted below, and pull the shaft out...

 

Feel around behind the dash on the headlight switch and you'll feel a little button

Press the switch and then pull the **** out. The shaft will come with it.

Headlight Switch
First unplug battery unless you want your lights on.
Put your hand up there and push this button. then pull **** out. Do NOT hold button.


Washer ****
Get hook pick in there then pull **** off.

 

Once the stem is removed, how is the switch removed?

 

There is a collar or nut holding it to the dask sheet metal.
