Trade in value

I hate to do it but I'm thinking about trading in my 6.7L on a 2011 F150 with the EB due to the rising cost of fuel. Dealer wants to give me 40k on my 250 Lariat FX4 which only has 15k miles. NADA is saying 42 to 44k for trade. Has anyboody traded lately? Maybe it's my sign to keep this truck but the pain at the pump is getting ridiculous.

Try selling it privately. You may need more patience, but I think you'll end up better off.

No I haven't played bought the boat yet, have to build a new house for the wife first. I just hate dealing with people trying to sell something that's why I always trade and my dealer always gives me a good deal. Didn't know if the high price of fuel was bringing the price down on our trucks.

Just keep it, and look for a $1500 rice burner do drive on a daily basis....I think Diesel will drop back again after the heating season. And more and more bio is coming on line, which will eventually make diesel competitively priced again.

Besides 40000 trade in, is dang near an insult ...I wouldn't take less than book trade on it...

I agree. Buy a nice used civic etc for a daily driver. What are you going to do, buy a gasser truck to save a few cents on fuel but lose when towing!? Do a DPF delete and gain more mileage yet.

Well I didn't do it...

I looked the F150 over real good and liked it a lot but I kept looking back at my SD and just couldn't do it. Had the oil changed along with the fuel filters while I was there then went and fueled it up and took off for a ride.

Or, you could go out and buy a Mustang, like someone else around this forum did...
