2015 Front and Rear Bumpers on a 2005?
I was curious if I were to obtain a 2015 Front/Rear Bumper what would I need to do to install them.
Now before anyone jumps in I know there has been some threads somewhere on here already. From what I understand the Rear will fit with no issues.
The front however; will require some shims and or some adjusting (Love) to make it work.
My plan is to update my front end to the 2015 or so look so I may just hold off on front bumper until I get the fenders, headlights, hood, and all the necessary brackets etc. to make it fit.
The seller is planning to upgrade his headlights so he is going to sell those off to me OEM style so what should I expect to pay for good ones?
The bumpers on the other hand I'm going to pickup for $150 for both and they are in great shape.

Yea the seller is real cool and willing to wait for me until next week. Just timing of a day off to pick them up. He upgraded to aftermarket ones.
We have not set a price on headlights but I asked so I know what OEM is going for.
I know I have tons of other parts to source but little by little I'll have what I need so I don't have to buy brand new and do this conversion by next winter.

Also 7 months does not seem long to source parts. I'm deploying in a few months so when I get back I intend on having most of what I need and will start the project. I have watched several videos to include Mcnasty it doesn't seem that difficult just more of time and some costs for parts. Seems rather expensive to go with his kits but is that the only way to do it?

The front bumper, you have several options. Since you plan on doing a whole 2015 update later, you might just stay with the easiest option for now.
Easiest, the 2015 will bolt right on using the existing holes in the frame and 2015 bumper brackets. It will have a big gap between bumper and headlights, and bumper wraps around the side a little short to line up with wheel well openings.
Second Choice. Drill holes in the 2015 bumper brackets to raise up bumper to close the gap under the headlights. The height you raise it will depend on how much gap you like. Bumper will still be short of wheel wells, and the misalignment of the bumper to the grill/headlight corners will be more obvious.
Third Choice. What I did to mine. Do second choice, plus make bumper ends and filler panels to make the bumper look almost like it was an oem fit.
You can see a couple more pics of mine in this thread:

Looks great I like the filler not a bad idea to get rhe job done.
I might wait on installing front bumper and just do the rear bumper, get tail lights and tail gate first. Then later on tackle the front.
At least I know there are options.
Appreciate all the feedback so far and examples of your trucks.
