Painting frame

I know from reading that you need to prep the frame when using por 15, as well as any other product.
I am doing a f150 frame, and what I am doing is wire wheeling the hell out of every nook and cranny I can get into, wire brushing/scraping everywhere else the wheels wont get too. Then my plan is to shoot primer on, then to shoot tremclad on, and do 2 coats of tremclad.
Ive debated using por 15, but decided I want to do the tremclad route, cause the truck I am building is just a "nice looking farm truck" and I originally was not going to paint the frame at all!

I used Chassis Saver, which is basically the same thing as POR15. If you are going to use primer, make sure it is a two part epoxy primer. I put two coats of Chassis Saver, then a coat of Rustoleum Gloss Black paint. I used the gloss black because the Chassis Saver that I used was a matte finish. That way I could tell what I had painted. I live in the south and I mainly use my truck for camping in the spring and summer. The truck is not a daily driver, nor is it a show truck. I just wanted it to last another 30 years. I have some pictures of the frame work here; https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...build-log.html
