Found an oil leak!

I did not see this when I was looking under the truck a few days ago, but last night when cutting my old exhaust off, I found a drop of oil on the end tip of my oil filter. Above the filter looks pretty wet too. I looked from the top and the VC looks a little cruddy. I plan on spraying it off a little tonight with some simple green and wiping off the oil filter and tightening it a bit more. My question is are there any big problem areas there for leaks? I will post a pic in a few.. doesn't show much but gives an idea of what I'm talking about.
Brian
this shows the moisture above oil filter almost looks like drops on bottom of ex man. Could it be spraying from oil filter?
. Sorry my phone flash was acting weird.

I would pressure wash EVERYTHING underneath there, and start fresh. Watch it pretty closely, and your leak will reveal itself pretty quickly I'm guessing!

That's what I've started doing in other areas like the IC area I had some caken on grime. Oh, I also know I have a rubber line to metal line going to the IC area that is leaking. It is towards the front of the engine, with a metal line going to the Radiator/IC area.I think this is too far forward for this leak though.
Thanks,
Brian

Your on the same side as the CCV, Iv'e seen those screws loosen up and oil walks down to back side of the VC. Check that as well.

Never looked at or thought about the CCV. I will look for it today.

I had an issue with a loose valve cover bolt in the rear. Just didn't get tight enough. I was scared it was the heater hose connection, but it was just the loose bolt.

That sounds like a good idea too... go around checking the bolts for snugness.
Thanks,
Brian
