Seafoam my 92 F-250

Yep, works pretty decent... I use the brake-booster line but do not just stick the line in the can... pour it slowly in to the vacuum line till you have introduced the intended 1/3 can or so without killing the engine.... shut the motor off let it set for 15 min or so then start it up and run it till all the smoking ends.... I like to put it in the fuel tank too after a fill up once a year or so...

Seafoam
Hi Al and thanks for the response.
Yep I used Seafoam on my Vette once a year. Works nice.
I intend on putting 1/3 can in the Vacuum booster hose, and spary some into the TB. I have both canned and spray types. The aerosol can says its safe for the MAF sensor so I may spray some on the MAF. After that i'll change to oil and filters.
Thanks,
Steve

Most likely you're truck was fairly clean. My truck smoked a little bit, but it only looked like it would on any cool fall morning. My '88 T-bird with the 3.8 though with 79,000 miles (VERY hard miles, the car looked like it had 300,000+) smoked like a chimney for close to 20 minutes when I seafoamed it. I think it really depends on maintenance schedules and the quality of fluids you put into it.

Seafoam is a great product, but it doesnt clean the top end. Trust me. I sea- foamed my 97 Cobra, then pulled the upper and lower manifold off a week later and it was still filthy. I wont use it in my oil either, as it seems to me like thats a good way to break a big chunk of something free and plug up the oil pick up tube. I use seafoam, but only in my fuel system occasionally.
