2000 F350 single rear Axel swap to Dually Axel Question
Guys i have 2000 F350 Single Rear Wheel .I want to convert it to Dually.I have found1 guy who has 2001 F350 dual rear axel complete with brakes.
So my question is will it work if i swap my axel with dual 2001 axel.
Also is 2001 & 2000 axel same.Please let me know.Thank You
Yes you can swap them out. The F-350 dually all have Dana-80 rear ends. Your SRW has a Sterling 10.5 rear end. Just make sure you have the same gears in the front that is in the rear.

thx for reply
But i am not sure what gear are you talking about & how do i check. Can u pls explain.
thx
I'm talking about the ratio, 4:10, 3:73, or what ever. If you have 2wd then don't worry about this.
You are talking about changing the whole differential, not just the axles?
The guys i am buying said he has complete dually axel with brakes. So i am not sure what he meant.i dont know more about parts so dont know.
what should i ask him.let me know.thx
can u pls list what things are needed to convert my truck to dually.i wana make sure i get everything from the guy.thx

Sounds like the whole axle assembly to me. Not sure why you would question otherwise, I can't see someone trying to put axle shafts from a D80 in a 10.5...

I agree, that's why I asked. He is still saying axles with brakes. I guess I'm reading more into this then there is.
I hope the D80 has the leaf springs with it and the 4" blocks.
