You will also need an install kit for each axle that includes bearings, seals, and crush sleave for the pinion. Your truck has a 31 spline Ford 8.8 rear axle BTW, and go with 4.10 gears if you have a 5.8 or 4.9, and 4.56's if you have a 5.0.

It also depends on how fast you drive and whether you have an OD transmission.

The front Dana 44 has a carrier break at 3.93 so if you cross that line you need a different carrier. I've also seen thick cut Dana 44 gears so you can reuse your old carrier but I've never used them so I can't say much about them other that they exist.

I have a 5.0, and i do have an overdrive transmission. And im sure i could i could do it myself, i've rebuilt a few rear-ends before, but i broke my finger last week and cant do it, so what do you guys think it might cost to get it done at a shop?

way more than if you did it yourself... If you have the knowledge, and warm place to work, a friend and a case of beer I would do it that way. I had a broken wrist when I had to do my ZF re-install on Thumper... had my little bro do it while i gave him verbal instructions... Cost me a handle of Jack...

well I know the shop rates are at least $50/hr here and I'm guessing a garage is going to charge you bare minimum 4-5 hrs... Very reputable shops run $60-$70/hr. I'd do the reading on it and find a couple good friends to do it with. I'm hoping to get a set (maybe 2 sets) of 4.10's for Zeus (and maybe Thumper). I just don't have the cash right now and it's too cold to go grave yarding...

For the rear, this is what I used when I did the swap to 4.56s

8.8 inch Rear Axle Master Rebuild Kit
Wheel Bearings and Seals Ford 8.8" Axle, Pair
Ford 8.8" Motive Gear Ring and Pinion, 4.56 ratio
This part is optional, If you run 4.56s, If you don't get it, you have to grind a tad off one tooth on the ring gear.
8.8" Notched Cross Pin, 7/8"

Here is what I used for the front. The U-joints are a very good Idea being you have the whole axle tore apart. I personally don't think you need a whole rebuild kit for the front, as there is going to be less miles on the front gears and bearings than the rear axle. If you have the proper tools, you can pull the bearings off the old carrier and pinion gear, and install them on the new.
D44 Dana Spicer Axle Joint
USA Standard Gear Ring And Pinion, Reverse Rotation 4.56
D44 Open carrier case only, 3.93 - 5.38
