33s on my 90 F150 stock suspension stock rims. Never rubbed the fenders or bumpers, only rad arms at full turn. Which i agree could be fixed w/ the correct backspacing

I know for a fact i can fit 33x12.5 tires cuz thats what i had on it before i got the new wheels, and yes they rubbed at full turn on the radius arm, but i ordered 2" spacers so im near positive they wont rub on the radius arm with them, but if i get 35's idk if they'll rub on the fender, but hell with it my truck has enough rust im not to afraid to do some chopping on the fenders to make em work. Just wanted to clear up that i didnt HAVE to regear to run 35's. Another topic i have heard some different points with, is getting retreads or not. I can get a set of 35 retreads for $130 a tire or get a set of non retreads for no less than $200 a tire. But i hear with retread tires that are larger have problems with getting them balanced right...any thoughts? not to be a cheap a$$ just am all about saving a few bucks if its worth it.

Retreads are worth it if you can find a reputable company to buy them from. Any jack tire shop can sell retreads, but its easy to do a crap retread job on the tire.

Well there is a place in the town i live in that has been doing it for years and i have heard that they are real good tires, but i heard that if you get them to big they wont balance. But maybe the guy just got a bad set. I'd much rather spend $520 on tires rather than $800.lol

Just after my statement that you quoted i said (they would but the back edge is close on full lock). Too close for comfort in my mind without any trimming.

What rims do you have those 33s on? it almost looks like the stockers? Also measure your tires when you get the change. My guess is that they actually measure out to 32" and not 33" I am talking about a true 33" on stock suspension coming very close to hitting the back edge of the fender.

Fatboyf150 that is the place that im planning on getting them, the place in my town just keeps a stock of them.

Shift1313, I had stock wheels on my 91 f150 with true 33" tires and yes they fit without no trimming at all but they did rub on the radius arm. But its just at FULL turn just turned till it rubbed then turned back a little and worked fine for me, still could get around any parking lot.

Like I said they fit but Are very close. You Guys are also cheating a bit sticking them on a narrow stock rim because the clearance issue is at the edge. A stock rim with its narrow width and not much backspacing allow you to clear the fender. I wouldnt put anything over a 9.50 on a stock width rim. Tire profile will be very different on the right size rim. I've 235s up to 33s in every size on my 85, 86 and 89 on different rims at different times. It's dangerous to say 33s fit cause every truck is a little different and if you had the correct rims that were spec for that width tire and the correct backspace to keep the off the radius arms it would be very close.

I just dont want to see some guy reading this go out and spend $500 on tires that dont fit.

Nice tires. Them are the exact ones im looking at getting. Im think im going to get the 315x75x16 or the 305x70x16 i cant decide which tread i like best, plus idk if the backbone tread will last being how aggressive they are, cuz i do do a bit of highway driving.

On the treadwright website it the pics of th etires don't have the name of the tire (i.e. Goodyear Wranglers). But 87F250, those tires have the name on it. Do all the tires on the website have the name on them, but they just can't show it because of copyright or whatever?

Thanks
