35's on a 91 f150 with 2.5" leveling???

I have a 91 F150 with a 2.5 inch leveling kit on it. I just purchased a set of wheels and tires. tires are shot, im looking to buy a set of new tires, i'd love to put 35's on it but i need to know if it will fit and if it would tear anything up because of how big they are? I think they'll fit because the 33's that are on it now fit kinda small in my opinion, i dont much care if i lose some power or gas mileage just wanna make sure it wont tear my gears out.

ive seen them fit. this body style has a bigger wheel well, so with a leveling kit they will fit....it will be a "full" wheel well though...

Measure the diameter of the worn out tires with a tape measure. I'd be willing to bet they aren't a true 33"

Many F150 drivers have rubbing with 33" tires, so I'd imagine 35s could be problem with just a leveling kit. It'll probably depend how wide of a tire you go with too. Also, I wouldn't do it without at least 3.55 gears, but even that isn't really the best scenario.

Alright after seeing that pic i think im going with 35's. I personally would like a full wheel well rather than a bunch of space. Love the looks of huge mean looking tires. Plus I plan on getting a bigger lift in the future so i think the 35's with a full wheel well would be good for now and still look good when i get a bigger lift...saves me buying tires twice. and by the way i have 16x8 wheels now...i have 2" spacers on the way, they'd still work right? Cuz with my old 12.5" wide tires rubbed on the inside when i turned pretty sharp, would this fix it with the 35x12.5's?

They aren't exactly 33's but they dont rub on mine at all but they are 11.5" wide and im planning on getting 12.5" wide 35's. But what im majorly concerned about is ruining my axles or trans.

Dont forget. RebelBlues pic doesnt have an engine in it. Add the 700+lb engine and i would bet the front drops an inch or 2

Very true...you know to save the troubles and all the problems that may come up, i think i may just stick with 33's because i know for a fact they'll work. Dont really wanna buy 35's and them not fit or ruin my axles or trans.

Tire size and rim width/offset go hand in hand. I run 32x11.50s on 9" wide rim with 4" back spacing and i have no issues on an 89. 33s would not fit(well they would but the back edge was close on full lock). 33s would be fine with a leveling kit. If you have anything less than 4" back space you will rub the radius arm. Anything more or a wider rim/tire combo chances are you will be close to the fender on full lock/bump. I think it will come down to the offset of your rims and the true size of the tire. Most tires are about 1" diameter less than claimed at the edge.
