So poor Mater has been waiting for me to get an engine back in him, after like an idiot, I pulled the og 292 out and ended up selling it to another member on here yrs ago.
Just ran across a rebuilt 292 in a 1960 F100 w/T98 I'm looking at on fbmkt locally, however, I sent the front mount that bolts to the engine and to the frame with the old 292
@TA455HO would you happen to know the part# or know of where one might be?
And, I guess also, would a 1960 292 be swappable into a 63?
25% off right now. Is this what you are talking about? As I understand it this is an NOS part. This is the upper bracket. I checked and 4x4 uses the same part number as 4x2.
I'd think any 292 would swap in as long as you also have the front timing cover than has the lower four bosses that correspond to the 4 empty upper holes in the mounting bracket as shown.
Thank you Chad!! Had kids/grandkids over last night so I didn't have time to dig and look, YES, that is what I need, adding to cart as we speak, also going to add the upper and lower mount bushings! Planning on picking it up this weekend, then make sure I've got all the small stuff for the install. Also has a T98 attached, so hopefully it has the bosses in the case for t-case linkage... yet to be seen but fingers crossed.
