I'm around 200K, doing a full coolant flush. Seems a flush was done a while back in the service records, but there is Orange Coolant.
The Original Hoses look ok - I think of changing them but two shops said to leave them alone, they said its very rare for them to fail if they look ok. Ford also said they never change modern hoses unless there is damage. There is no interval on these obviously - but I'm wondering if anyone is changing them.
I thought about this too, I’m hoping to do a coolant flush n some other work this summer on my 09. My hoses are original at 340k km, but everything is tight and dry. My thoughts on it are don’t fix it if it ain’t broke, but I will be saving the clean empty jugs in event of a leak or something down the road and I have to drain the system again.
Are we guaranteed to get the same quality hose today that came with the truck when it was new? I’m inclined to think not as everything original always lasts the longest, at least for me in this particular truck. I won’t be changing mine when the time comes, good bad or otherwise lol
