Which pressure line for the bendix system in a early 1977?

Hey everyone!

I'm trying to buy new lines for my bendix system but I can't figure out which line fits my early 1977 highboy going from the gearbox to the reservoir. It looks like the previous owner just connected two different pressure hoses together but one of them is cracking now.

I saw these 2 on parts geek and both claim to fit up to March 31st, 1977 but neither one looks like the line in the diagram. If anyone knows I would appreciate it!

I bought a set of hoses from rockauto and they wouldn't work on my 1976.
They were the only hoses they listed for several years of truck
By the time I got around to installing them it was too late to return them so they went in the garbage.
I remember working in a shop back in the mid 70s and the PS hoses the parts store was sending us didn't fit.
They ended up sending us hoses for an older F-250 4wd.
Sure wish I could remember which hoses fit clear back then.

There was another thread on here of someone with a 76 who posted photos of the lines they took out of their truck and it matched the second photo exactly. That's what made me question which one would actually fit since I'm not sure how that bend in the pipe is going to fit around the reservoir

A couple of my hoses were made by some place that makes hoses.
I tried for hours to make the new ones I bought to fit but I just couldn't figure it out.
The ones that are on my truck don't leak, I just wanted factory style hoses.

If your ride is truly an early 1977 Highboy i.e. F250 4x4; there are NO PS hoses to the gearbox.
Highboys all had MANUAL Steering boxes albeit some with power assist...Those with power assist have two hoses (left and right turn) going from the steering ram to the steering valve and two hoses going from the steering pump reservoir(pressure and return) to the steering valve- nothing to the gearbox.
If you DO have PS lines going to the gearbox then someone previously added something that you are going to have to either play match game at parts store or attemp to recreate yours at a hydraulic shop....If you choose to recreate at a hydraulic shop DO NOT tell them its for a road going vehicle, tell them its for a farm tractor.
My local hydraulic shop stated they weren't covered insurance wise to make auto parts....but farm tractors were ok.

The ram is what I meant, I've been reading so many different listings that all call it a gearbox so I must have slipped up there. It's absolutely a bendix power assist system, I replaced the ram was 2 years ago from redhead. I have all the hoses but the one pressure hose going to the reservoir which is what I'm looking for. I already have the 2 going to the cylinder and the return line to the reservoir

The basic thing that changed on the pressure hose from the PS pump is how it exited the backside of the PS pump.
If you have year correct PS reservoir can on the back of the PS pump, approx 4" tall pencil neck, the PS pressure hose was mounted going up the back of the can and looped around that pencil neck;.then down towards the DS frame rail.
50 years later, there could be any number of similar but not exact reservoir cans clocked in many different positions to the PS pump.
Id start the routing backwards from the steering valve as having those 4 hoses mounted and secured properly to the frame is a HUGE challenge (read here https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...e-routing.html.
Maybe try re-clocking the PS reservoir can if you get close...Not sure how that would play on the o-ring seal though.....

I appreciate it but unfortunately what I really need is a photo of the top of the system by the reservoir. I've come to the conclusion though that the old hose is just 2 RWD pressure hoses linked together so I'm just going to do the same since it hasn't failed me till the rubber gave out.
