I have a 2019 SD and my wife has a 2018 expedition. Is there any way we could program the vehicles or the key fobs so 1 key/fob would work for both vehicles?
I know...first world problem, but it would make things nice.

Yes, it`s a first world problem but the answer is no.
Just like every vehicle has a different physical key, every vehicle also has a "different security code" that allows the fob to talk to the vehicle.
If neither is a key start and both fobs are the same part number theoretically it would work by programing all fobs to the vehicles. If a key start keys would still be different but the fobs should still be able to be programed. I just do not remember the programing procedures for either and a willing dealer might be necessary.
Problem being when both vehicles are in the garage, how do you tell the remote you want to start, lock, or unlock the truck? Its going to unlock the Expy and start it too.....
Yes the fobs will have different signatures but the vehicle just has to be programed to recognize them like they would with a replacement key or fob
I think the real problem is that the signature is generated from the vehicle and then paired to the fob. Getting two vehicles to begin with the same randomly generated signature is going to be problematic. If you could tell a vehicle to take/learn the same signature as a fob which you present, I would see that as a HUGE security flaw.
