Air brake stoplight switch

This part seems to be eluding most parts stores in my area. I have an 84 F800 with air brakes. I usually have to tell them its a F8000 to show my correct engine size (10.4 cat)

Get the ID number from the original then look at this 13480 stop lamp switch application chart for it (#). I see two possibles. SW is the Motorcraft part number prefix.

identify switch

Are you sure the switch in the picture is the brake light switch? Every truck I have seen has two connections (wires) . But I have never messed with any airbrake fords!!

Maybe its my old eyes; I see one wire: If so that means its a ground going to a relay. New one on me in my
life time, Always been two wires one hot the other to lights. If thats the case with a jumper try grounding that
terminal see if lights come on. Or maybe a oil pressure sender for idiot light works on ground. In Bills picture #13480 sure looks like two wire terminals. I learned yrs ago tell those parts guys nothing just say I need air
stop light switch Not I need switch for a 1956 Ford = they all now are computer geeks. Note if you are sure
this is a ground terminal just go and buy a normal switch and ground one terminal and the other goes to where
ever that relay is .............................

This is the only part that even comes close to matching what im looking for, and its not a ford part. It says its a brake pressure warning switch. Is it the same thing, as a brake light switch?

NO it is closed until a certain pressure is reached then it opens thus shutting off the buzzer or warning light . Look closely at the picture number dummy supplied ; the stop light switch has two terminals

The only switch on my pedal has a single terminal. The wire continues up into another terminal, but its not a switch. (Pictured above) Every light works except the brake light.
