No worries my friend. Crap happens, and we just have to deal with it. Lot's of people lost their loved ones that day. I was ready to sign back up with the Army that day, if they would have taken me.............But alas, I was just an old man...
I know what you mean. If the Navy would have wanted me back, I'd have gone. I can remember that day vividly. I remember exactly where I was, and what I did that day.
Not enough have been sent there as far as I'm concerned....
I only have 6 wires to connect up for the lathe, but have been working full time on the base cleanup and just haven't found the time to finish it yet. Hopefully, this week.......
The current "leader" in DC is the worst, most ineffectual, puke to ever set foot in that office. GWB was a man of steel in comparison, this one actually wants to HARM the US.
I am embarrassed when you see pics of him and Putin together, Putin is actually a world LEADER and respected, this guy is a clown.
Alright, I'm totally stumped on my front brakes. I hear different things from everywhere and everyone.
I'll start at the beginning:
1. Finally figure out how to get the hub off so I get the drum off too.
2. Passenger side is so worn that there is no brake pad on one of the shoes. Just bare metal. Drum = trash.
3. Drivers side has a leaky wheel cylinder, wasn't applying any pressure so Drum = good.
4. Get hubs pressed out of drum. Am told from different places that I can get new studs pressed into the hubs so that the drum fits just like the rear does.
5. Call Napa. They say you can't do this, but offer to put the whole assembly back together for 150$...Not what I wanted to hear.
6. I'm stumped I don't know whether I need Napa to press everything back together, or look somewhere else to find someone who will put new studs in my hub that will work with the drums just like the rear does.
Any advice would be awesome, I'm so lost right now.
My day turned to poo
Explorer started missing 60 miles from home. Got home, and there's no antifreeze in the reserve. Just topped it off this morning.
I guess it's off with his heads!
just what I need another project. Guess I better hurry and put the new ball joints in the Town car, we need a car more than a truck most days

Are the studs not in the hub anymore?
Last one I did, and that's a while ago, I just put the new studs in the hub with an impact gun.
Put several washers in for spacing, turn the lug nut top side down, and run it up until it bottoms out on the hub.
Why did they take the lugs out?

The lugs are not out yet, just the hub. Because the drum was pressed onto the studs I cannot put a new drum on because the stud is too thick where the drum meets the hub.
