Ok need to clarify a few things sorry this is an ever evolving thing since I dont have an F150 to verify all this on. and thanks to Patrick D he has done some leg work that helps a lot also. also thanks to Brant P for allowing me to take apart his 22 F150 I will be adding to this write up sunday with F150 information for installation. with that said heres a parts list.

the difference in these 2 part numbers is the connection. One is male and one is female(THIS IS IMPORTANT FOR BUILDING A HARNESS OR ORDERING ONE!!!!)

This appears to be the same for 2016-22 F150 and 2017-22(probably 23 also)Super dutys.

With that said I know theres a lot of guys waiting on the lights, so now theres an alternate part number. If you purchased one of my harnesess its configured to work with the HC3Z-14A318-A lights. If you want to order the other part number ML3Z-14A318-E lights I can rework the harness if you want to pay shipping both ways ill leave this up to you all. Going forward, if you order the ML3z part number I need to know this and will configure the harness to work with it. I have to know which one you ordered.

 

Got my harness and cupholder lights installed this afternoon. Releasing the console near the armrest is easy, but it took me a while to get the console clips to release at the bottom of the center stack where it's wedged in place. I also had to trim a bit of black plastic near the center screw to get the cup holder light ring to sit flush as is mentioned in the instructions above. One thing that I noticed is since the cup holder light ring is sandwiched between the existing cupholder parts, it adds additional thickness and causes the screws from the bottom of the cup holder to not bottom out on the original mounting locations. I decided not to tighten the screws all the way to avoid bending the plastic brackets on the bottom of the cup holder. Ideally, a small spacer or a few small washers could be used to allow everything to be tightened down the full way without adding stress to the brackets on the bottom of the cup holder, but not a big deal. My version of the harness was an earlier version that connects to the ambient light in the driver's side foot well, and I was able to use my fish tape to get the harness through the tunnel area of the center console. I did find it helpful to remove the plastic trim piece in the driver's footwell that runs along the bottom of the console for better access when fishing the harness through. Last observation, is I would recommend using some blue painters tape to protect the finish on the silver areas near the bottom of the center stack since there is definitely some rubbing that occurs in this area when removing/installing the center console. Overall a very nice improvement to have the ambient lighting restored in my cupholders! Thanks again to JHForman812 for all his work on the harness.

 

Project complete tonight! Agree with all above installation comments. My largest fight was getting cup holder out after popping clips loose. I raised the front and took it loose before raising the back out of console. If you do this, the cup holder hangs up on the console. Have to get back end up out to clear cupholder before sliding front end up and out. Thanks again to John for a couple extra pointers.

 

OK GUYS BIG ANNOUNCEMENT TIME!!!!

I have been quietly working behind the scenes to secure the LED light harnesses we need for our trucks. I dont have a solid number on how many Im going to be able to get but I will sell them as I can get them, I will not be releasing the part number because the connector is wrong so each one that I can secure I have to cut the connector off and redo it(not a big deal but it wont help others anyways). So with that said I am offering a 1 stop shop for the harness and lights(sorry i dont think ill be able to secure a steady supply of the ring ive been working on it but its all dead ends so far). the lights im offering are FORD parts not something hacked together. SOME OF THE LIGHTS ARE COLOR CHANGE AND SOME ARE SOLID COLOR!! I dont have a way to know unless I plug every single one I get into my truck. if you 100% want a color change one ill try to find one in the lights I receive. I will be selling the lights, and harness at as a setup for 115 shipped. I know the lights sell for 60 on tasca plus you have to pay shipping so I dont feel like my price is too far off base. If you have any questions feel free to ask, I have 10 setups currently available.

I would also like to purchase a set, if possible. I have been a member for a couple months. This is my first post. I joined so I could add my truck to the '22 SD spreadsheet. I ordered a '22 F350 CCSB 6.7L 4x4, pretty well loaded, on 8-25. Took delivery on 12-22. Bummer the spreadsheet does not work anymore. If possible I would like to add these lights to my cupholder.
