requirements: you must have AMBIENT LIGHTING from the factory(you can add ambient lighting but theres more to it than im going to cover in this thread).



you need these parts in addition to the harness

QTY 1: HC3Z-14A318-C cup holder light ring

QTY:1 HC3Z-14A318-E wire assembly with LEDs





open your console


grab the 2 silver corner pieces and pull up the console will pop free



unhook this connector it goes to the key reader/programmer, then work your way to the front of the console near the radio. youll need to pull up and back to release the front portion of the upper console.


now that you have your console out, remove the screws holding the cup holder together.


remove this band it holds tension on the cup retainers, I suggest not breaking this, I have yet to see where it can be ordered separately



on my cup holder I had to trim around the center screw a little bit to get the light ring to fit flush


now install the light ring


on your cup holder bottom youll need to bend the tension arms where ive circled in red this allows them to fit back in the cup holder properly. now reassemble the cup holders.


pass the harness through the console




now you need to connect your harness to the foot well ambient light. the first set of harness I have made(gray connectors) go to the drivers side foot well ambient light, going forward they will be going to the passenger side light which i will show you how to access.


open your glove box and disconnect the stop arm



drop your glove box down


gain access to the passenger side ambient light(black connector pictured with 3 wires)


hook up your cup holder lights


reinstall everything and enjoy what the Ford took from us!!

The Ford dealer just told me that as of today this part is on national back order (HC3Z-14A318-C cup holder light ring)
Maybe some dealers have it in stock?
