I have a 1974 460 in my F250 and I am trying to figure out what carb I have on it. I can't find any numbers anywhere. All I can see is the word Motorcraft stamped in the front. Does anyone know what carbs they used in this year?
The rear barrels are not much bigger, if any. Let me see if I can't get a picture on here tonight. But from what I had read here on the forum, I have a feeling its a 4300 series.
ok so it was dark when I got home so I couldn't get a good picture of it. But how well will these carbs flow? I plan on upgrading the cam soon and I think if I do that, I should probably look at upgrading the carb as well.
I looked at the READFIRST thread. The only problem is that my carb doesn't have any of those numbers stamped on it. It has a 1.25 stamped in the circle.
I have no idea if this a stock carb or not. We found it in my buddy's barn along with a huge Q-jet and and three holley 2bbls that came off of a powerwagon. It is a squarebore design though
