I have torn out the injectors in my 97 powerstroke and run into big problems because i have leaking injector cups. In which it takes a custom 1"1/4 tap to tap into and slide hammer out. Does anyone knw of anyone selling or knws of a way to get the injector cups out without spending the 580-680 dollars to buy the kit to get them out. Once again i am referring to the injector sleeve/cups that seat on top of the head where the injectors rest inside. Any help would be great and time is of the essence tryin to get my truck back together before 4th of july so i can go see my family that i havent seen in 4 months.
Hey Action thanks alot man thats a great site, i just got all those parts in from matco today but we decided not to keep them because we cant return them if we use them of course. I am looking for another way to get those bad boys out. Please anyone feel free to chime in. Once again thanks Action if you come up with something else please let me knw.
(Chiiirrrp...... Chiiirrrp.....) Is there anyone out there. Cody, TJ, Jim, cchildress. Anybody with any answers please i gotta figure something out we have looked everywhere for how else to do this.
Aside from buying a tap that size and welding anut on top to fit your slide hammer then getting the heads clean and machining a drift shaped like the cups you are stuck buying the tools. How much are the tools from Mac? might be able to resell them.
Are the injectors out right now? Call the local Ford or international shop. Tow your truck there and have them swap them out then tow home and reinstall. Might work.
