Cup holders?

Ok so who has added cup holders to their truck? I have a 78 4 on the floor so that ash tray cup holder doesn't work for me. Ideas? Thinking about adding a grab bar on the dash and getting the cup holders for motorcycles that mount to a 1 1/4 inch bar. Solves the cup problem and keeps the wife from crying about my "erratic and unsafe drive practices"....women...

I did the ash tray version on mine, and it's great for me, but I've got a column shifter. Sounds like that won't help you any.

Boating stores carry gimbal-mounted cup holders so spilling a drop is less likely due to erratic driving styles. I put one on a customized lawn tractor.

I got a plastic adjustable double cup holder from one on the parts stores. Just secured to the hump right of the shifter with self tapping screws. Works great and I have it in a 4 spd 4x4.

... here's the cup holder. It comes with different mounting options... a clamp, a glass suction cup, and a fixed mount.

Here's the seats that were in my last truck, and now they will be going in my Scab once I get them re-covered. Not sure what they are out of, maybe some kind of van? They are awesome though. :P

big headrests are what give it away for me. lol. I think they will shrink by about half when I have them redone.

I'm going with '70 Mach 1 high back seats with TMI Sport R foams and upholstery around a late 80s/early 90s Bronco console:

I like the bench seat - keeps my wife closer to me when we're driving around

Here are pictures of the ash tray cup holder insert - it probably does stick out a bit far for a floor shifter; I think it could be trimmed to length and go in a couple inches further though - I have room for a glasses case to sit on the part that inserts into the ash tray slot behind the actual cup holder section. Only downside if you did that would be lack of accessibility of the cigarette lighter to plug things in. Could always add an under-the-dash one I guess.

I've got a man pedal so the girlie stays put as a passenger. Shifting btwn her legs wasn't fun.... for her.

One time I belted out, "Here it comes hon... I'm grabbing fourth gear so spread 'em!". I got a playful backhand and pinch for that one. Hehehehe....
