Miss
Today my 99 F350 with the 6.8 starting missing. I check the codes and got a P0300 and I checked the fuel pressure and it was real low. So I changed the filter and pump. Its not much better. Between 1,000 and 2,000 rpms it miss;s real bad and I dont know what to look at next.

Is the pressure still low?
Check the fuel pressure regulator - maybe something got stuck in it.
What I do is, hookup the pressure gauge, start the engine, and it should be 28-30lbs.
Disconnect the vacuum hose to the regulator, and it should jump to 38-40-42 or so.
If the pressure checks out, clean the MAF ... check for vacuum leaks, etc.
Report back!
