Can anyone tell me in regards to the fuel gauge sending unit atop the tank in a 66 f-100: The low tank ohms reading and the full tank ohms reading. Am installing new gauges and need to now which sending unit I need or if I will need to modify the stock unit.

There's only one sending unit 1961/77 = D7TZ-9275-G.
I should clarify that when dealing in aftermarket gauges they come with diffrent ohms ratings than stock. So you have to purchase a compatible sending unit . If they have none that match the stock sender you then can as an alternative have the stock on tank sender modified by an instrument shop. What I am looking for are the stock sender ohms values.
i beleive they are 70-10 but i am not certain bout it. pretty sure the stock is a 70-10. that just sticks in my head for some reason. chekc it with a ohm meter. pretty sure though its 70-10
64 Ford: Your numbers compare to other sources I've found. Thanks. Oh, checking with an ohm meter - way to easy. In doing a total restoration the upholsterer in his anxiety to to a great job covered over everything behind the seat, including the sender. So until its absolutely necessary to cut and patch I'll leave it alone. Thanks again!

Behind the seat: The gas tank wasn't exposed originally, there was a vinyl flap that covered the tank from top to bottom. It just hung in place, like drapes. Just try finding an original one of those today.
The only time that I am aware of that the vinyl cover was used was in the Ranger. It had bucket seats and that allowed the tank to be visible. All other models completely concealed the tank with the bench seat.

Sorry, I know this is not ohm related.
