Hey FatForty! What's that cab of yours sitting on?
John, what are you using for mounts under your cab? Are your running boards bolted into the original frame holes? I justed mounted the cab on my frame and I'm trying to establish the cab height over the frame. I mounted the front fenders, wheel pants, and the front grille to kind of get the correct cab height. I have about 1/2" between the boards and the sill of the cab, does your cab come anywhere near that? Haven't Heard from Steve and Carlene lately, are they still into their '41, or have they laid off for the summer. I see that your into another Mustang, is that your summer project? C U AL.

Al - we're still out here. Steve's been working out of town for over a month now and weekend's are spent doing the "Honey-Do-Lists". I've been getting some of the body work in, but can't help you with the tech stuff. I do know that although the original cab mounts are wood, Steve is planning to fabricate metal ones. Can't give you any measurements you're looking for since our's is in pieces. We're still waiting on the front shock kit (been waiting for about 2 mos. now). Steve was going to look elsewhere for it, but he really likes the quality of the Chassis Engineering stuff that he's gotten so far.

Thanks for the comeback Carlene. I just got back from ##### Paul Back to the '50's car show so I was able to look at about 9 or 10 40 and 41's. I met one fellow from Wisconsis who allowed me to take some physical measurements of the cab mounts and gave me a good idea for mounting the new box that I am getting made up in Sterling Heights, MI. I found a great auto wrecker near Mnpls that had some hood hinges that I was looking for and I will be using gas shocks for the support on the hood instead of springs. How is your '41 coming along? The pictures look great and you should be proud of your work. C U AL.
