subwoofer cone travel (for tight clearance install)

i have a 2000 ranger extended cab and want to fit a 10 inch sub under each little jump seat. i have the clearance for the mounting depth, but was wondering how much a sub cone/ surround moves in and out when it is turned up loud. i want polk mm2104s

This is Polk's specs on that sub.

The number you are asking about is the Xmax.

The mechanical Xmax is the physical distance the cone can travel, while the linear Xmax is how far the cone will travel within the magnetic field. Ideally the cone would never pass the linear point, however, better safe than sorry.
