Did anyone see that "NOS 67-72 fender" on eBay. What a joke. Dude said, this is NOS and Overall in very good condition. It does have some light surface rust happening and a small dent.
LOL, it has a few major hard-to-fix creases! It had to have been ran on a vehicle. When stuff is used, it's no longer NEW OLD STOCK it becomes USED but since it still had a part number tag on it it's NOS, LOL. What's even worse is it got bid up to over $127! Item number: 4544451556
WOW! And the price of S**T has gone up. Back in 79 the 69 flairside got wacked at work, I purchased new in black primer, fenders, hood, valance, white grill, eyebrows and painted bumper. Pounded out the damage and drove it as a joke for another 600,000+ miles, sold it and still have the parts for spares for the 68CS should I get wrecked. Sorry parts not for sale, I got them at cost and the other party got the bill.
So, if it's new old stock, never been on a truck, how did the front of it get kinked by the front bumper of a truck? The fender on my truck is in better shape after at least two seperate collisions!
lol, I don't know how people could sell stuff like that and call it what it's not. And how could somone bid on that after seeing those huge creases? Their monitor must have bad color because they are going to be in for a surprise after they recieve it.... especially paying $25-40 to ship it!
Looks like a Ford dealer bought it, or at least someone with over 1,000 sales. I assume it is a Ford dealer in Maynard going by the user ID. So, I guess he knows what he is buying.
Still, so used you can even see the rust from the rubber isolator on the hood hitting the fender. Considering what a new repro costs, I am surprised he was even able to sell it with that huge crease.
Sounds like a car I saw yesterday on Ebay. 64 Galaxie, ORIGINAL...blah, blah, blah. Then, down in the description is stated previous owner "sanded and painted the car himself". HUH!!!!?? How "original" can it be after it's been painted???? "Minor" ding in front of hood, where "O" is. The front shot showed a large bow in the front of hood, because the shadow of light hit just right. No simple "ding", but a large 3/4 of front of hood is damaged. Yup, sounds real "original"!
You have to wonder sometimes?
edit: saw the auction. Holly Toledo?? NOS??? where, when, 30 yrs ago???
That thing was well used. The typical crease in front from being hit and bumper coming back and folding fender(seems pretty typical for these trucks). I've seen alot of these trucks with damage like that, don't know why? That's a $30 part, max! There is even a crease in molding area about 12" back from front. You can see the shadow line in the one shot. Sorry, NOTHING NOS about that thing.

Yes, very old vintage but not better like wine. Like previously owned (beat) cars. Look a collector car, real meaning it collects dents. Have they made "NOS" parts made in China or usa Japan? We make part well for Fordason.
