You guys are givin' me too many ideas on what to do with my trucks. I can't figure out what to do first, too much cool stuff. Keep it up fellas, I'm lovin it.
I used to have a running/driving truck with nice 390 with Edelbrock topend, dual dana 60s with 4.10s and 38s.
Now my truck has been down for a year, I'm building a 514, HP Dana 60 and Dana 70 with 4.88s, hydro assist, shackle flip...and trying to figure out how to budget a 12k winch. Sigh...
I think you a good part of it Ivan. Great pics and detailed writing. I'm now at your beginning stage, a '79 f150 w/4" and 35's and a '85 with a 4" that's been in the makings for years( pretty much nothing done to it). I think I'll start with the shackle flip for now and move on from there. I think I'm going to sell my body to science for money to put into my trucks.
Oval if you are gonna stay on this forum long just give up right now, sell the lift kits, and tires you have go out, and buy yourself some rockies, and 49" iroks dump the engines stuff in a big stroker (don't bother with the 514 it's too wimpy go for a 532, or 557 min ) yank the body off the frame build a tube frame with full cage put a doubler on your transfercase, and for gods sake put the radiator in the bed YOu might as well do it know cause we will corrupt you, and you will be doin it in a couple of years (or if we can work really hard on ya Months) anyway.
And Ivan I think your next project better be a bigger garage door.
What he oughta do is just move into the garage, and gut the house and have an overhead front door.
Wonder how Mrs. Ivan might feel about that...
Seeing as how I destroyed the kitched this morning and put a nice hole in the wall . . . I don't think she'd mind too much.
She's been pestering me about a kitchen remodel since we moved in . . . time to get out of the 70's I guess. We're trying to buy some land right now so I can build a shop. My truck is 20 feet long and the garage is 19 . . . so that wasn't happening. I'll have to measure my roofline and see how high it is now. I'm thinking it's probably too tall to fit in the mall parking garage which kind of defeats the whole purpose of my build.
EDIT Looking at my picture I finally found where my treats went, breath was getting funky! I'd lose my head it it wasn't screwed on.
I was gonna comment on that...now we know why you don't have any problem seeing out your dirty windshield. It's because everywhere you drive you have your head out the window!
Hey Ivan - don't let these guys get to you about that itty-bitty truck of yours. You're more than welcome to hide it in our garage until you have one built. We'll just park it in the back corner so it's out of the way and run it through the forest now & then to make sure things stay mudded up.
