Takes along time for oil to reach top end! Has anyone else noticed this?
I had the oil cap off after I finished with oil change and happened to notice it took along time for oil to start coming out of the oil hole on the rocker after I started it. So the next day after it set all night I timed it and it takes about 3.5minutes after startup to start seeing oil come thru the rocker hole. Even if the engine been running and you shut it off and restart it an hour later still takes about a minute to reach the top end. Seems like a long time ! F-550 7.3

I agree that's too long....
We are now seeing the effects of the cummins valvetrain poor design do to their small oil passages to the upper valvetrain. No lube on moving parts is suspect to early failures.
