1999 e-350 rh head half exposed hole?

i have some pics of a 'potential' issue that i noticed with the intake and RH Head. there is a half-covered hole exposed. has an incorrect part been installed which allows this hole to be exposed? i looked at pics of the OEM intake and rh head and they appear to be the correct installed parts.

hole exposed.

That hole may be an unused casting port or a blocked coolant/vacuum passage. If there are no threads inside and no coolant or oil leaking, it is likely normal for that head casting. Ford often used shared castings across multiple applications.

Yep, normal.

This was actually the second question I asked when I was new here. Check this out: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...open-port.html
