Hello; I am new to this forum. I seek help with an issue in a 2007 F-150 with the 4.6 V8. Under 100K miles. Truck has been having an intermittent issue of low and fluctuating idle after warming up. Idles normally when cold. When warmed up the idle surges between 300 to 600 RPM range. Has stalled and died when coming to a stop sometimes. Have run some fuel injection cleaner and fresh fuel. The engine ran normally for a week or so then started the erratic low idle with stalling again.
Am thinking of using some Seafoam intake cleaner. (the sort with a small, curved straw) but have not done so yet.) The truck was bought new and is a one owner.
No check engine lights. Have not yet done a code reader.
I get this is sketchy information and hope to post more soon.
Clean the tb and disconnect the battery to reset throttle trims. It may stall a couple times once power is restored, so use caution when driving. My '07 once stalled several times after losing power.
If this doesn't work then look for vac leaks, lean codes, MAF codes/live data etc. Could maybe be FPDM, too -- although this is much less likely

Hello; Cleaned the throttle body & intake with seafoam as per instructions. Been a couple of days but is doing OK so far. Will take a while to be sure. Thanks
