Low Idle Sudden Clearance
99 F250LD 4x4 w/5.4
This has been an issue for a while. I bought the
truck with 199k miles. Truck has a few minor issues naturally. This one has me a little baffled.
When the truck is first started in the morning it won't idle past 550-600 rpms. I recently cleaned the TB. Before that it would idle low until it warmed up and then it was
fine. Now, I have to drive it for quite a while and
it may or may not clear up. If it does I'll be driving and
it will suddenly feel like the engine picks up and
when I stop , the engine will be idling fine. After that it doesn't
matter how many times I stop the engine and restart it idles fine. It never really feels like
it's down on power. May idle rough when it's idling low though.
IACV? Fuel Injector? Electrical?
