Rear Wheel noise when turning under moderate throttle (as in stop light making a turn)
We have a 2020, 1.5 liter EcoBoost, AWD Escape with 68,000 miles on it. The PCM recall may solve my issue but, with no drivetrain codes showing or stored, we get a rear wheel noise when under moderate acceleration, as in, from a stop then making a turn and, It sounds as if the AWD might be kicking in when not needed (even though I wouldn't think that process would be audible), and when on gravel, it sounds like the right rear wheel is starting to spin.
Are there any known problems I might start investigating if this isn't a covered repair??
I'd appreciate any advice pointing me in the right direction.
Thanks for your time.
