'54 239 Timing Chain Oiling

'54 239 Timing Chain Oiling
Hi All,
I am in the process of putting my 239 back together and for the life of me cannot find the "oil drip trough" for timing chain oiling in my box of parts. I am not positive it was there to begin with.
If I cannot find it, any suggestions on how to proceed?
I found a post similar from many years back that didn't seem to really result in an answer. Hopefully some newer members may have some advise?

Well, FORD actually deleted the tray mid-1956 production. It directs oil from the rocker arm shaft to drop oil directly onto the timing chain.
Without the tray, the oil drops directly onto the crank gear and you better hope the oil slinger is doing it's job.
Personally, I would want to retain it.

Unfortunately this engine didn't have the oil slinger yet so I'm relying heavily on that drip trough.
Would you, or anybody else reading this, have a possible source to get a replacement?

Most delete the tray and have them laying around. There is also a machine screw that you will need.

At least I now know what I am looking for!

I forgot that little diddy ...
OLD AGE is a terrible thing.
The oil slinger was introduced mid-year 1956 and the tray was deleted.
You are more than welcome. They have site troubles there often but will get back to you.

Well, funny story.
I didn't remember taking it off because I never did lol
Apparently I left it on the block when I dropped it off at the machine shop. I found it in the bag of parts that I got back from the shop.
