I just replaced my passenger side door lock actuator. It was toast. The driver side door lock “switch” wasn't working at all. It works fine on the passenger side to lock and unlock the doors though. I then replaced the door switch (driver side) with a new Dorman switch. Now the unlock feature works fine, but not the lock. Im guessing that the actuator motor is probably old and failing. Maybe it takes more “effort” to lock than unlock? Any ideas guys? Thanks

Not sure if this will help or not, but there was a door lock relay in the '97 F-250.
I just picked up a new ignition as my old one has a key problem and the electronic portion came loose in all my futzing.
Unfortunately, it's raining out west today. I was planning to take a load with the flatbed, but have a lot of empty space, and at $6.50/gal for gas, and 8 mpg on the flatbed, I had better put some more equipment on there...
I'm waiting for the weather to clear and gonna try to head down and get it all put back together with the new ignition. Currently the module and pin are in place. As long as I get everything lined up and can see teeth on teeth for both gears I'll be good to go. O'Reilly's Auto had the ignition 1 mile up the road for $37. I'll probably go down to the yard today and the key will turn. Nonetheless, it has the wrong parts in it, and I want the correct parts in it.
