Doetsch Tech Shocks

I own a 2000 X Limited, 4X4, V10, and it is now time to replace all of the shocks. Has anyone out there purchased the Doetsch Tech brand shocks, and if so how do they perform. I never use the truck offroad and I have only towed a utility trailer one time. Any advice on a good set, but reasonably priced shocks will be greatly appreciated.

Doetsch tech shocks

At about 800 miles on my Excursion I replaced the stock shocks with the Doetsch tech DT3000's. I am happy with the performance and put about 7000 miles on them, they got a better review than the Bilsteins and Rancharo's did.

Jeff,
I need to replace the shocks on the wifes X. How do you like the DT3000's? More importantly, any troubles with the install?

Doetsch tech shocks

Hello Tom,
I had the local Moble station install them for me, took about 20 minutes,
Doetsch sends you a kit filled with nuts, bolts, etc.
We had a little trouble fitting the bushings for the rear tops, very tight,
you need a vise to press them in otherwise it went smooth.

There's lots of bumps and pot holes here in New York City, I am happy with the performance.
Never been offroad so I can't say how they handle on that terain.

The January issue of 4 wheel offroad gave them a better review so I went with them.

Doetsch tech shock comparison

Hello Jeff,
You mention that the DT 3000's were highly rated as good shocks. Can anyone telll me how they compare to the Doetsch Tech 9000 Nitrogen shocks? Are they better than the DT 3000's?
