does anyone know what the factory shock length is on a 79 F150 4x4? also, can I use air shocks, front and back, or should I go with another type of shock. minimal hauling done, usually empty.
Confused..... I can understand asking the shock specs for a lifted rig but not quite sure why the stock length (extended and compressed I assume) would be needed.
Why not contact the vendor(s) to determine compatibility for a half-ton 4WD Dentside ?
Air shocks on the front bad idea IMO, air shocks in the rear (normally used on a old school hot rod) another bad idea. Air shocks are not like overload air bags, as far as I understand anyway.
I'd get some that apply to a stock F150 4x4 like Monroe, KBY, Gabriel, Rancho...as long as your truck is stock.
