Having an issue with my Grandpaw’s truck, trying to help diagnosis. It’s a 2014, 6.7, F250,4x4 crew cab, 120k miles, bone stock (no mods), daily driver. Current on all maintenance, no previous problems
Well...While cruising down the road at a constant speed (NOT on cruise control) the truck loses power for a split second, take foot of accelerator and reapply and it comes back to normal and runs fine. Can’t really intentionally reproduce the issue, but it keeps happening. As if it is starving for fuel for a brief moment. Feels just like when you are on cruise control and you tap the brake.
Any check engine lights? I know you said all maintenance was up to date, but I would check the air filter and both fuel filters as a start.
No check engine lights. Figured I’d start with fuel filters. Will change air filter too. Gonna have a buddy check for any codes. Is it possible to have codes and the check engine not come on?
thanks!
