Message Center Warnings

Over the past 3 days, on 3 different occasions my message center has scrolled through warnings which include “PRE-COLLISION ASSIST NOT AVAILABLE, SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC, and HILL DECENT CONTROL FAULT”. I don’t notice any issue while driving, all seems normal and messages will clear after a restart.

Its its still underway warranty and will be taking to the dealer.

Any similar experiences with this possible gremlin?

It could be the electrical gremlin that is due to corrosion in the electrical connectors. Check the connectors between the frame rails, just in front of the rear bumper.'

It could also be a bad wheel speed sensor.

These are all warnings that a brake related. Something tells me it might be a bad connection near the emergency brake pedal. This was a common issue before and is what others recommended for me when I had something similar happen. My alerts went off every time I touched the brake and include ABS faults. Turned out to be a brake sensor and the faulty connection near the e-brake.

I had these same messages pop up. It was due to a loose nut holding on the pitman arm.

Same issue here with a 2017 6.7. Dealer can’t find the issue, and it only does it randomly so I can’t duplicate it for the dealer. I don’t have the thread off hand, but you can search for truck errors and probably find it. There have been several threads on it.

I have a 2019 6.7 f250 platinum. My dash started flashing these same things a week ago. It happened about 6 different occasions. I took it to the dealer today. There is a tsa on this issue. The dealer called ford and said there is a module under the hood that may not be tightened enough after production. He said there are 3 modules. They unplugged all 3 and when he unplugged the second one he said the dash flashed all the warnings. He snapped it back into place firmly. So far so good. He said if it doesn't fix the problem they have to go through each individual connector in the module that is not getting connection properly, aka loose.

I’m not familiar with a TSA, did you mean TSB? Either way, do you happen to have the number to it? (Possibly written on your paperwork they gave you when you picked it up?) My dealer is not familiar with it, and is pretty much stumped and not helpful. My warranty is up next month, so it would be great to have this addressed.

I meant TSB, and I was just in and out so no paper work. I can call tomorrow and see if I can find out something. I watched them work on the truck from the sitting area and everything was done with the hood popped. I know that is very vague. The guy there explained everything a lot better than I did, but he did say he unplugged them and just snapped then in tight.

If you get around to it, that would be great. I’ve had to bring it printed TSBs to the dealer before when they had never heard of what I was describing. I guess they don’t search for them when I bring it in.

Update:

I haven’t had the issue since the date of the original post, and I’m thinking I corrected the problem. After the 1st post, as I was driving the fwy, I noticed the front axle felt like it was drifting then I hit a rough patch of road and got awful feedback from the steering wheel (DW) for the 1st time ever in this truck.

After getting it home, crawled underneath and checked my track bar bolt and it was loose, nowhere near 405 lbf-ft. I torqued it when I installed the BDS leveling kit but must have loosened up.

After re-torquing the trackbar and 1 week later no more warning messages.

Im guessing the sensors picked up issues caused by the front axle shifting and thus the warnings.

Mike
