2002 f 350 ford crew cab diesel
My 2002 f 350 ford the door locks won't work and the door ajar light in dash stays on and the dome light will not come on when open door and the door bell does not work . But I can take the battery cable off and wait 20 min. and hook the cables back up to the battery's and every thing works fine for a while then it all stops working again. has anyone had this problem are know what the problem is and what I need to do to fix it . thaks in advance for any help you could give me

My $$$ is on a new VSS. Had same symptoms and that was the fix.
Its a 5x8 black box with 3 connectors connected to it. Located behind the radio, on the firewall. Believe its 4-13mm nuts securing it...you'll need to purchase new one but leave old one connected. Dealer will extract from old and upgrade to new VSS...Do yourself the favor and have the old vss laying on trans hump and take to dealer. Dontvlet them do entire job. Very easy to access and a 15min job of dealer to program new
