For those of you in the process of or considering rebuilding your Powerstroke Oil Rails, you don't have to spend big bucks from the various kits on the internet, but rather:
(1) Pick up a Snap On Oil Rail Socket for around $26 delivered -- P/N S6222
(2) Pick up some readily available Viton orings for around 20 cents each (8 required total) --- places like the Oring Store, McMaster-Carr, Grainger, etc have these in mass quantities.......
And for a grand total of around $27 and change it will get the job done............. the orings do harden, erode over time and need replacing.................rarely, and do I mean RARELY is it necessary to replace the actual nipple cups --- in 10s of Powerstroke builds we've done, I've only seen one instance where one cup needed replacing.......
