Recommendations for rear brake job on 2007 f350 DRW
I have a 2007 f350 crew can 8ft bed lariat DRW and I'm doing the rear brakes. I've done the pads previously on this DRW but this is first time doing the the rotors. I'm looking for recommendations on rotors, pads, axle seal and spindle nut socket. I normally get ceramic brake pads all around on all 6 of my vehicles but if there's something I'd be better off using I'm open to suggestions. When I replaced the front brakes I had to replace the calipers so I did everything including caliper brackets/pins. I used Motorcraft brake rotors, Centric brake calipers and Centric ceramic brake pads/hardware. Any suggestions would be great, thank you.
I'm not a fan of ceramic fiber reinforced pads for this weight vehicle, but if you are happy with them put the same brand and level pads on the rear as you did the front. And if you're happy with those other parts then do the same too. The Superduty brakes from '99 through 2010 at least were all designed around having the same friction material formulation front and back.
I put the Powerstop drilled set on my truck and like them. my truck has a daily weight of about 12k lbs.
Really, I was eyeing those but I'd have to change the fronts to match. What about pads? How was changing out the rear disc, having to remove shaft/spindle?
I bought Ford original "Blue Box" brakes front and back on eBay. Never would have known about them until TooManyToys explained the difference between OEM and aftermarket parts. I cannot tell you if I like them or not as I have 15 miles on them. I had 2 frozen calipers. Maybe the van will get better fuel economy now that's it's not continuously braking. I hear so many lies about 6.0 getting 20 mpg.

You don't have to change them but it is better to. I have the heavy duty pads from them for the rotors. It is not to hard as long as you have a spindle socket. You will lose a little axle oil but not much.
