So I've been using a cup holder console that sits on the bench, and uses the center seatbelt, for the last couple years...
But often I have my two boys with me, and I have to stash it on the floor, which isn't very convenient. Last time I was at the Pullapart, I saw a bunch of Ranger's with floor mounted cup holder consoles that looked like they would work in my truck. So now I have one!
I added a third cupholder that my wife bought me a while back, and I'd never found a good spot for. It holds my 20oz fake-Yeti better.
It's VERY secure, there's a mounting bracket screwed to the floor, and the console locks onto it. Neat mod for $5 at the Pullapart!
**EDIT** I have added some additional pictures to show how the twist-locks keep it secure.
Additionally, the plastic inserts can be raised (see 3rd picture) to make a more secure spot for your cup. The two twist-locks are located in the bottom of each cup spot, after loosening you can lift the console off the base plate.
The plastic piece on the right is the mount, the two cup holders lock into the two UFO shaped holes. I used the four screws that I removed from the Ranger, and screwed the mounting plate directly to the floor of my truck. Then the cup holder console locks to the plate, and is easily removed if you need to. The benefit of the F150 vs the Ranger, is that a middle passenger could easily put their feet on either side of the console when installed in an F150. The one I bought was GROSS, but cleaned up nicely... I think the previous owner used it as an ashtray
Have one that sits between the seat & the lip for transfer case. Little bigger than the factory ones. Sits in there pretty good, hasn't moved in 10 years except for cleaning

I have nothing on the floor to wedge against, and too many railroad crossings on my way to the office :P

I think I may have posted this before but mine is working great and no spilling issues. These sell for $13 new at O'Rileys. I cut it with a sawzall and it sits on my carpet without it EVER moving and it is not secured. Don't know how it would work on rubber. Sandy
I think I have one of those consoles in my workshop, my main problem with it was how easily it slid around when the kids were getting in and out with their backpacks. The nice thing about the Ranger console, is that it can be removed quickly if you need the space, without tools.
