Monday’s after work is when I cut the grass, however I was able to unclamp everything and cut the boards to size and joint the edges. Today my son and I milled up some ash he got a few months ago. The ash will be for the kitchen floor. I’m going to remodel my kitchen this fall. We needed to cut the last log so we can get it to the kiln. After it’s nice and dry I’m going to make it into sip lap boards and use old cut nails to install it. Always something to do when you own a house. I’m also waiting for my amazon order, I ordered some cup holders and switches and I need a new air bag gauge, the one I have now is leaking. I want to set up everything in the mock up plywood console before I even start assembling the pine console.
Neat. I will like to see how it looks in natural wood. Looks like it will make a nice time capsule. When you clean it out in 3 or 4 years, you'll find where that missing screw driver went and $5 in quarters
I need to get some sort of hinge for the lid. That’s a 400 watt inverter, I hope that’s enough wattage. On the back side the top two are 12volt ports and the bottom ones are USB ports. On the top left of the console are 4 switches, one for the air bags, one for reverse lights. I haven’t decided on what the other two are for yet.
Now I need to sand with 220 grit and possibly 400. I need to mix up some stain.
I have a lot of wiring to do too. There is an 12 volt hot wire in the factory harness that I will use. I will need to run new wire for the inverter, and probably put those two 12volt ports on separate circuits.
