'92-93 units differ from '94 & up. Speedo/odo units are the same from '92 up. There should be a number stamped into the printed circuit which would help you ID which year the unit is from. '94 & up have the circuit for the anti theft module (even if your truck does not have the feature).
All the ones I've looked at had the year etched in the PCB. Though I've wondered how much they overlapped on model years and does that year code match the date on the sticker?

Its the plastic encased wiring on the cluster back side.
There are part numbers on them but not accurate sometimes. The PCB may have been designed in 92 and carries a F2xx-xxxx part number, but may be designed for a 94 truck.
