So my last f250 was an 06 6.0 and it had 96k on it when i bought it. I pulled a report on that one and it was several pages long. Needless to say I had alot of problems with this truck in the 2 years i had it. Ficm, stand pipes, fan clutch, egr valve etc etc..... Luckily a guy ran a red light and totalled it for me. At this point i had sworn off modern diesels even though working on them in the construction field is what i do for a living. I replaced it with an 07 tundra. Nice truck couldn't pull my camper worth a darn. So i traded that in for an 11 gmc sierra gasser also a very nice truck but was only slightly better at pulling my camper. So i just got fed up with modding that truck to try and make it pull better. About a month ago i traded it in on a 2012 f250 with the 6.7. So far i like the truck a few things i would change but overall im happy. So last week i finally got around to getting the oasis report and its blank except for a recall on the egt sensors that i need to get done. I hope this means this truck will be reliable. Last one left me stranded 4 times.
There are lots of trucks out there with blank Oasis reports. There are just not that many with lots of problems. Sure there are a few, but few and far between. Problems so far are the valves breaking on the early '11s , a few turbos on the '12s- and early '13s, a few sensors thrown in every once in a while, updates to the PCM and that's about it. You will find a wealth of info on this site. Don't worry about asking questions as these guys love to help. The most important thing is we need pics of the truck
Welcome to modern diesel technology. I suggest reading the TECH FOLDER in this forum for you to understand this engine a little better and it's requirements and benefits. Welcome to the 6.7!
Blank Oasis report could mean nothing other than the previous owner didn't have it serviced or any repairs at a Ford dealer.
truck had 64k on it when i bought it so im hoping that this means no or very few previous issues. It wouldnt make sense to bring it to someone other than the dealer if it's still under warranty.
