1976 F250 Highboy Tailgate
I need to find a new tailgate for my 76 Highboy and I'd just like to know what year tailgates will fit. I'm assuming 73-79 will work but what other years will be a direct drop in, and it will fit?

1964/66 F100/250 2WD; 1966 F100 4WD; 1967/72 F100/350: The only parts that are the same as the 1973/79 tailgate are the metal tailgate supports (aka scissors).
ALL the other parts are different!
The 1964/66 tailgate (C4TZ-9940700-A) looks slightly different than the 1967/72 tailgate (C7TZ-9940700-A), but the 1973/79 tailgate looks completely different.

Aron i just looked at a rust free tailgate in maryland ,decent shape with all the stainless and aluminum moldings,,,i looked at it for the moldings ,but decided to buy moldings new,,,,decent Ford Man with a whole lot 1950s Mercury"s..Lost in the 50"s is his logo Gary 4109371403,,if you call him tell him Dave let you know,,,He travels alot hits all the shows
