Front gas tank problem

So on my 96 f150 xlt that I've had a couple months, I've been using the rear tank as the front pump does not work. On top of this the gauge does not read full when I know it is to the brim. As this is my first truck and car that I've ever worked on myself, I wanted to get personal opinions on what parts may be bad before I go assuming.

From what I've learned so far, the sender is probably corroded causing the empty gas reading, but does that mean the pump is bad too by coincidence? Or is there other parts in there that I don't know about that could be causing both issues? Sorry for the nooby post. Any help is appreciated, and I promise to try and help in any way I can to make up for the help I receive in the distant future lol. Thanks guys

The fuel deliver module inside the tank consists of a plastic resovoir that contains check valves on the send and return lines and the fuel pump, and on the outside of that you find the fuel level sender which is a potentiometer with a float attached.. same as it has always been.
