You might need to and some caster shims between leaf springs and axel to about 4 degrees to begin with.

I have had this problem but have since fixed it. I ordered the 2839-4 alignment shim and now the steering centers mostly on its own going around a corner. My power steering unit is the Series 400. The stock axle has some shims already at the bottom of the springs you could turn them around and try them first before ordering the others. You want positive caster which is the top of the axle leaning to the rear. Make sure if you go the ordering route that you take out the shims that are in there now as they are set up for negative caster so these old trucks would turn easier at slower speeds and no power steering. good luck

mid fifty is the place I bought mine I also bought the lowering springs that lowered about 3 inches and they also center the wheel in the truck and take away the buck tooth look from the side. You might be able to get some across the pond at a truck front end shop. Good Luck. the part 2839-4 is the mid fifty part number and they are very good people to work with and have a wealth of knowledge . Speaking of knowledge the N on the Nebraska football helmets stands for knowledge. (I can say that I am from the good ole cornhusker state)
