390 2 Barrel carb idle problems
I have a 1976 F250 truck. It pulls my boat. I parked it last summer and never drove it in the winter. I started it yesterday and it cannot idle without my help. It idles very rough and dies at stop lights. When I am accelerating or going down the road it runs great. I have drained the fuel and but new 89 octane gas in but same problem. If I close the chock it will idle this is even warmed up. It I open the choke it dies unless I step on the gas. I can't turn the idle up any higher. I have checked timing and if I spray carb cleaner in the carb the idle speeds up and runs smooth. I have tried checking for vacuum leaks with the carb cleaner but haven't found any. Anyone have any thoughts on what it could be?
