Could anyone lead me to where I can find some replacement rubber grommets that are installed in the tank for the filler hose and the ventline. I know they do not make them anymore but I though maybe some of you might have found some that would work. Thanks.
nope, what you posted is for the vent check valve on top of the tank which leads to the emission charcoal canister. What I am looking for are the grommets for the filler pipe and vent line that are installed in the plastic tank. Thank you for the reply though

Scroll down in this pic to 9072 and look at D7TZ-9072-A .. Seal-Fuel Tank Filler Pipe / Obsolete
It's also listed for 1978 Bronco (in the 1973/79 Ford car parts catalog) and the application says "to filler pipe housing."
I could not find a picture of it.
There are 4 available NOS:

mine are dry rotted and malformed, previous owner rtv'd the **** out of them .... dropped cleaned tanks, rebuilt skid plate and redid hoses and dual tank valve etc.. just cant find them damn seals (LMC,Bronco Graveyard and Dennis Carpenter and Green Sales, NOSFORDPARTS all are no go)
working on KAMA, ObsoleteFordParts, McDonaldsParts now)
might have to buy a chunk of rubber and try to fab them...LMAO
or...
buy a new tank, which is a **** idea, but looking more and more likely
no that one is for the side that the gas pump is on, certain plastic tanks needed a seal at the gas tank side.
I figured you'd eventually find your way over here to ask this question. But you should have typed a new thread, instead of this one, because it causes confusion.
How many fuel tanks does your truck have?
There are two seals: D7TZ-9072-A & D7TZ-9076-A
In some pics, it shows 9072 at the tank, in others, it shows 9072 below the fuel cap. But 9076 was also used below the cap.
I've been searching threads trying to find part numbers and info on these parts also. I'm a bit worse off though as with my 77 both seals are shot as well as both nipples that go in those seals. Any info on these will be much appreciated.
